The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam is a national-level engineering entrance examination in India. It is a critical step for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate engineering programs at some of the most prestigious institutions in the country. JEE Main 2024 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The JEE Main 2024 examination consists of two papers:
Paper 1: This paper is for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses and is conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. It includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each subject carries equal weightage.
Paper 2: Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses. It consists of three parts: Mathematics (Part I), Aptitude Test (Part II), and Drawing Test (Part III). Part III is conducted in a pen-and-paper mode.
Scoring: Each correct answer in JEE Main is awarded four marks, and one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. However, there is no negative marking in the Drawing Test of Paper 2.
